It has been a pleasure to have collaborated with Pretty Shady this summer in Australia. Pretty Shady is an Australian movement whose aim is to stop skin cancer, one summer at a time and I hope our style tips over the past few months have helped keep you guys safe from the sun.

Here’s one last gallery looking back in the archives, highlighting sun smart street style. This one might seem obvious but it’s the simplest. The classic hat that manages to work its way back into my wardrobe every few years is great way to keep the sun out of your eyes while also providing protection to your face, with the use of sunscreen. Over the last couple of months, the weekly galleries have been looking back in the archives, highlighting sun smart street style. This week, we’re looking at layers. With the introduction of lighter, sheer fabrics in menswear, our garments might not being doing their job at protecting us from UVA and UVB radiation. Besides using sunscreen on exposed skin, try wearing layers when sporting thinner fabrics to stay protected. Walking around in the sun, you tend to forget the sun is always following you, possibly burning your neck. A neck scarf, sweater or light summer scarf are easy ways to cover up but still stay cool.
